Embrace you natural curls!
My 1st goal is to help clients to love the natural texture of their hair. My 2nd goal is to teach them how to achieve, and maintain truly healthy hair.
I specialize in natural curls & Goldwell hair color. My training includes advanced Deva Cutting & Deva Pintura Highlighting. Hair is cut dry, without tension from combs, to preserve its naturally curly shape. The dry haircut is followed by the Deva 3-Step.
I keep up with continuing education for Goldwell Hair Color. I prefer to only use ammonia free hair color on all of my naturally curly clients. Ammonia based and high level peroxide hair color can lead to extremely dry, damaged curls.

Embrace your natural curls!
I have new curly clients come in with their hair air dried with little to no product. I then evaluate the curl pattern and discuss cutting, and or color options. If your natural curls are damaged, we will work together to get them healthy before a color service is done. These before & after photos are unedited.

Lorraine Massey and Deborah Chiel, authors of Curly Girl: The Handbook, suggest that dumping shampoo onto your hair is much like washing a cashmere sweater in chemicals. Have you ever looked at the ingredients list on a bottle of shampoo? Most of us would freak if someone dumped even a smidgen of harsh detergent on our most delicate sweater or dress. And yet, day after day, we put chemicals in our hair and then wonder why it’s lackluster. Or falling out. Or frizzy and lifeless. Also, Shampoo today and you’ll likely have to shampoo again tomorrow. Why? Because the detergents in shampoo have stripped your hair, and more importantly your scalp of it’s natural oils (sebum). You might think, “Well, if the oil has been stripped away, why do I wake up with greasy hair in the morning?” The answer is simple – your scalp is panicking and over-producing sebum to try to make up for what was stripped away by your shampoo. It’s a vicious cycle.
